It wouldn\u2019t be a proper soap Christmas in Coronation Street without a Christmas dinner from hell with explosive revelations, recriminations, tension and high drama.<\/p>\n

This year the sparks are due to fly at the Rovers Return, where the\u00a0Driscoll family<\/a>\u00a0are settling in for their first Christmas together in Weatherfield \u2013 and good will is most definitely not on the menu.<\/p>\n

As well as the family, there are some extra guests around the table.\u00a0Adam Barlow<\/a>\u00a0(Sam Robertson<\/a>) and\u00a0Alya Nazir<\/a>\u00a0(Sair Khan<\/a>) have been invited, which is a tad awkward as we know that there\u2019s history \u2013 and\u00a0possibly unfinished business<\/a>\u00a0\u2013 between Adam and\u00a0Eva Price<\/a>\u00a0(Catherine Tyldesley<\/a>\u00a0(Catherine Tyldesley<\/a>).<\/p>\n

Eva is keeping a secret of her own that\u2019s filling her with guilt, and when her daughter Susie (Aurora Bradshaw) says she\u2019d love a little brother or sister, Eva struggles to hold herself together.<\/p>\n

Maggie Driscoll<\/a>\u00a0(Pauline McLynn<\/a>) spots a tender moment between her daughter in law and Adam, as well as a secret hidden letter. She\u2019s been looking for a chance to get rid of Eva, and she cooks up a plan to do just that.<\/p>\n

Also at the dinner table are\u00a0Daniel Osborne<\/a>\u00a0(Rob Mallard<\/a>) and Megan Walsh (Beth Nixon). The two of them recently became a couple, and as far as the Driscolls are concerned Megan is\u00a0Will<\/a>\u2019s (Lucas Hodgson-Wale<\/a>)\u2019s coach who has been supervising his training. Viewers know that\u00a0Megan has actually groomed Will<\/a>\u00a0and has been having an illicit relationship with him.<\/p>\n

Obviously Will is devastated to see the woman he believes he\u2019s in love with sitting at his family\u2019s Christmas dinner table with her new boyfriend and he\u2019s seething with rage.<\/p>\n

With all of these tensions simmering away, things reach boiling point as the turkey is carved and the crackers are pulled. Christmas gifts are unwrapped that \u2013 intentionally or not \u2013 have shattering consequences for the recipients. There are accusations, recriminations and, finally the whole thing erupts in violence as fists fly.<\/p>\n

One member of the family is thrown out of the pub, but that\u2019s not the end of the violence.<\/p>\n

Another person who attended the Christmas dinner is brutally attacked in the ginnel and left for dead. But who could it be? And who attacked them?<\/p>\n
