Victoria Beckham<\/a>\u00a0has extended a festive olive branch to son\u00a0Brooklyn\u00a0<\/a>amid persistent reports of a \u2018feud\u2019 between the family.<\/p>\n

Rumours of a rift between Brooklyn, 26, and his parents first began circulating when he and wife\u00a0Nicola Peltz<\/a>\u00a0failed to attend dad\u00a0David Beckham<\/a>\u2019s 50th birthday celebrations in March.<\/p>\n

While a source hinted that Brooklyn was keen to patch things up with his father, things only escalated from there, with the model and aspiring chef fueling rumours by\u00a0reportedly blocking brothers Cruz and Romeo on social media<\/a>, and\u00a0covering up a tattoo dedicated to his mum<\/a>.<\/p>\n

In August, Brooklyn and Nicola celebrated their marriage with\u00a0a secret vow renewal<\/a>\u2026 minus his family.<\/p>\n

In the wake of of Victoria\u2019s\u00a0Netflix<\/a>\u00a0documentary, the family seemed to have taken tentative steps toward reconciliation, with\u00a0David and Victoria now reportedly keen to \u2018move on\u2019\u00a0<\/a>from what has happened.<\/p>\n

In a new video to her\u00a0Instagram<\/a>\u00a0Stories, Victoria seems to have reached out to their son by sharing a festive-themed post.<\/p>\n

In the short video, Victoria shares a glimpse of all the family Christmas stockings hanging over the family hearth in mum Jackie Adams\u2019 home.<\/p>\n

These included Brooklyn\u2019s three siblings, Romeo, Cruz, and Harper, as well as stockings for Victoria\u2019s nieces and nephews, Liberty, Tallulah, Finlay and Quincy.<\/p>\n

\u2018Sooooo many granchildren!\u2019 reads the caption, with Victoria tagging in her mum, Jackie.<\/p>\n

Pictured among the embroidered stockings is one for Brooklyn, proving that the family are still thinking of their eldest son, even during this fraught time.<\/p>\n

According to\u00a0The Mirror,<\/a>\u00a0Brooklyn\u2019s grandparents \u2013 who include David\u2019s mother, Sandra Georgina West \u2013 are particularly affected by the rift.<\/p>\n

\u2018David and Victoria are coming to terms with not having Brooklyn around as much, they\u2019re saddened but they\u2019re accepting it,\u2019 a source said.<\/p>\n

\u2018But it\u2019s the grandmothers who are really feeling it. They adore Brooklyn; they had such a close bond with him. He loved them dearly, now they don\u2019t see him.\u2019<\/p>\n

\u2018They\u2019re not getting any younger, and the harsh reality is that no one knows when they\u2019ll see Brooklyn next. It\u2019s Jackie and Sandra who everyone feels for amidst this family divide.\u2019<\/p>\n

This comes after Brooklyn and Nicola are also\u00a0said to be considering making amends<\/a>\u00a0\u2013 although they\u2019ll want \u2018a substantive and public apology from his parents\u2019 first.<\/p>\n

Of the feud, a source told the\u00a0Daily Mail<\/a>: \u2018Things got really so bad. There is nothing which Brooklyn or Nicola did that would have deserved this treatment,\u2019<\/p>\n

\u2018It is hard to understand the intensity and the escalation [of the media stories]. It seems that they thought they could heap abuse on Nicola without any consequence. They did not let up.\u2019<\/p>\n

This follows claims that a close aide of Brooklyn\u2019s parents allegedly briefed the press with \u2018untrue or out of context\u2019 stories that were \u2018intended to demonise and upset them.\u2019<\/p>\n

The Mail\u2019s source continued: \u2018There was a public trashing which kept on going. Someone should have told them to stop because it was not in their best interest to do this to their own son, but nobody did.<\/p>\n

\u2018There is an obvious first step which would be a public acknowledgement [by David and Victoria] of what they did, and an apology. It cannot be a performative thing. There is no realistic chance of a reconciliation without that happening first.\u2019<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, a source told\u00a0Metro:\u00a0<\/strong>\u2018David and Victoria have always wanted the feud with Brooklyn to be resolved.<\/p>\n

\u2018They\u2019d love to have him back in the picture but feel as if there are things to hash out in their relationship.<\/p>\n

\u2018They want to move forward as a family and could be open to hearing Brooklyn\u2019s side of things.\u2019<\/p>\n

\u2018I would like to say that I brought my children up with the same values as what my dad and mum taught me and my sisters,\u2019 he said on James Corden\u2019s This Life of Mine podcast.<\/p>\n

He continued: \u2018My kids are very polite. My kids are very well-mannered. My kids are humble and they all have the same values as what I have and my wife has.<\/p>\n
