It was the night before bin day, too.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018Clearly he is struggling with the new bin rules!\u2019<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone  wp-image-1631\" src=\"https:\/\/badvibes.live\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/104448845-0-image-m-13_1764867517929-300x169.webp\" alt=\"\" width=\"476\" height=\"268\" srcset=\"https:\/\/badvibes.live\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/104448845-0-image-m-13_1764867517929-300x169.webp 300w, https:\/\/badvibes.live\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/104448845-0-image-m-13_1764867517929.webp 636w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 476px) 100vw, 476px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The new rules for Southend-on-Sea residents include larger 240-litre wheelie bins that are replacing the standard 180-litre versions for eligible households.<\/p>\n<p>Clearly, the purple dinosaur\u2019s family isn\u2019t eligible and has too many fossils to dispose of.<\/p>\n<p>Another resident who was awoken by the noise said: \u2018Well, Barney the Dinosaur was certainly up to some mischief in Southend last night.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>Many people have taken to\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/tag\/social-media\/\" data-ico=\"hyperlink-article\" data-track=\"inline-tag-auto-link_article\">social media<\/a>, highly amused by the CCTV footage.<\/p>\n<p>One\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/tag\/facebook\/\" data-ico=\"hyperlink-article\" data-track=\"inline-tag-auto-link_article\">Facebook<\/a>\u00a0user commented: \u2018That\u2019s not a T-Rex it\u2019s a Doyouthinktheysaurus\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>Another said: \u2018I think Barney is staging his own little anti-bins revolt Robin Hood style. Long live Barney.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>Another expressed empathy toward\u2019s Barney\u2019s plight : \u2018We are in the same position because the last black bin collection was at 6am and we hadn\u2019t had a chance to put the bins out.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u2018So now we have a month\u2019s worth of black bins which is clearly not ideal!<\/p>\n<p>\u2018The issue with fortnightly collections is that if you miss one you are screwed. Might order a T-Rex outfit on\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/tag\/amazon\/\" data-ico=\"hyperlink-article\" data-track=\"inline-tag-auto-link_article\">Amazon<\/a>\u00a0now.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>An appeal has been launched to find the fly-tipping culprit before it litters elsewhere.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"factbox-title\">Barney should read Southend&#8217;s new bin policy<\/h2>\n<div class=\"factbox-content\">\n<p>\u00a0Southend City Council has confirmed that households meeting certain criteria can request larger\u00a0<strong>240-litre wheeled bins<\/strong>, replacing the standard 180-litre versions that have already been delivered to most homes.<\/p>\n<p>Eligible households include:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Families with six or more permanent occupants<\/li>\n<li>Families with two or more children in nappies<\/li>\n<li>Households where one or more adults use incontinence pads<\/li>\n<li>Homes with a medical need that produces high volumes of non-recyclable waste<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The council has also said it will consider other extenuating circumstances on a case-by-case basis.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp; Barney the Dinosaur has seemingly traded wholesome singing and hugs in a treehouse for fly-tipping in Southend-on-Sea as CCTV caught him purple-handed.
