A preacher convicted of fraud for selling \u2018plague protection kits\u2019 during the<\/strong>\u00a0pandemic is now offering holy oil that promises \u2018divine support in legal battles\u2019.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Climate Wiseman was previously given a one-year suspended jail term for flogging the fake\u00a0Covid<\/a>\u00a0treatments.<\/p>\n

The self-styled South\u00a0London<\/a>\u00a0\u2018bishop\u2019 was stripped of his charitable status \u2013 but still sells \u00a31,000 deliverance programmes and a range of \u2018anointed oils\u2019.<\/p>\n

They include \u2018Anointed Oil For Court Cases\u2019 which promises to be \u2018the powerful ally that guides you toward a favourable outcome and the resolution you seek\u2019.<\/p>\n

Wiseman told BAD VIBES that the legal protection oil \u2018does work<\/a>,\u2019 claiming followers had seen court cases \u2018miraculously turn around in their favour\u2019 after using it.<\/p>\n

He continued: \u2018It works very well with tribunals and a lot of immigration [cases]. We had a case of a lady whose case was declined completely, and she [now] has settled status.<\/p>\n

\u2018You have young people who get taken into gangs and that oil is stopping them from being locked up. It\u2019s changing their lives.\u2019<\/p>\n

The 50-year-old guards the recipe closely, claiming it\u2019s \u2018secret, just like\u00a0KFC<\/a>\u2019s\u2019.<\/p>\n

Wiseman insists the oil\u2019s divine power even helped him avoid jail after his own conviction.<\/p>\n

He said: \u2018There was a supernatural phenomenon because I was using that court oil.<\/p>\n

\u2018Yes, I was found guilty, but I knew that would happen. Did I go to prison? No.\u2019<\/p>\n

Wiseman, born in\u00a0South Africa<\/a>, claims to have been spreading God\u2019s word for 30 years, and have 300 followers at his Orpington church.<\/p>\n

He was convicted of fraud after a trial heard he\u2019d sold \u00a391 \u2018divine plague protection kits\u2019 to followers during the first lockdown in 2020.<\/p>\n

The Charity Commission said he had \u2018scammed vulnerable people\u2019. The regulator shut down his Kingdom GB Charity and disqualified him from trusteeship for 15 years in 2024.<\/p>\n

Then based in Southwark, he told his congregation they would \u2018drop dead\u2019 if they didn\u2019t buy the concoctions \u2014 a mix of hyssop, cedarwood, olive oil and string.<\/p>\n

Southwark Council slammed Wiseman\u2019s \u2018despicable actions\u2019, \u2018abuse of power\u2019 and accused him of \u2018dangerous profiteering\u2019.<\/p>\n

Wiseman told BAD VIBES he was forced to relocate to Orpington last year after neighbours raised noise complaints over his all-night \u2018fire ceremonies\u2019.<\/p>\n

The preacher now claims he wants to help his followers beat the long arm of the law with his \u2018anointed oil for court cases\u2019.<\/p>\n

The liquid, advertised for \u00a315 a bottle, promises to \u2018invoke divine support\u2019 during court appearances, hearings and meetings with legal advisors.<\/p>\n

His website says: \u2018Are you facing a legal battle and seeking the strength to prevail? Let Court Victory Anointing Oil be your guiding light toward a favorable outcome and justice served.\u2019<\/p>\n

The website advertises a range of oils, supposedly designed to ensure \u2018good marriage\u2019, \u2018better business\u2019 and \u2018unlimited success\u2019, which cost up to \u00a334.<\/p>\n

The preacher is also advertising \u2018deliverance programmes\u2019 priced up to \u00a31,000.<\/p>\n

Buyers can expect a \u2018full prophetic diagnosis\u2019, a \u201930-day deliverance plan\u2019 and an e-book as part of the package.<\/p>\n

Reflecting on his brushes with the law, Wiseman compared his struggles to the messiah\u2019s.<\/p>\n

He said: \u2018It happened to Jesus, the founder of Christianity. He was crucified and they actually killed him. What has happened to me has made me a martyr.\u2019<\/p>\n

The National Secular Society said it was \u2018concerned\u2019 that\u00a0charities<\/a>\u00a0were selling what it has previously described as \u2018snake oil\u2019.<\/p>\n

While Climate Wiseman no longer operates as a charity, other religious organisations do and sell holy oil.<\/p>\n

The Advertising Standards Authority did not comment on Wiseman\u2019s business dealings specifically, but shared its general guidance.<\/p>\n

The UK\u2019s official advertising regulator said: \u2018Advertisers of services that involve the prediction of the future, or the promise to make specific dreams come true, shouldn\u2019t advertise their services in a way that is misleading or likely to exploit vulnerable people.<\/p>\n
