Paramount) expressed interest.<\/p>\n<p>After separating from the media business Discovery Global earlier this year, the company formally put itself up for sale in October \u2013 kicking off a bidding get its hands on Warner Bros.\u2019 entire catalogue, including Friends (<a href=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/2025\/12\/01\/netflix-fans-freaking-friends-removed-streaming-platform-25034527\/\" data-ico=\"hyperlink-article\">which is set to leave the streaming service this month<\/a>),\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/tag\/the-big-bang-theory\/\" data-ico=\"hyperlink-article\" data-track=\"inline-tag-auto-link_article\">The Big Bang Theory<\/a>\u00a0and Supernatural.<\/p>\n<p>As such, Netflix\u2019s streaming catalogue will increase with unparalleled access to everything it now owns.<\/p>\n<p>The streaming service\u2019s statement promised: \u2018By adding the deep film and TV libraries and HBO and HBO Max programming, Netflix members will have even more high-quality titles from which to choose.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018This also allows Netflix to optimize its plans for consumers, enhancing viewing options and expanding access to content.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>However, many have expressed concern for the merger, with<a href=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/2020\/03\/05\/elizabeth-warren-drops-presidential-race-disastrous-super-tuesday-results-12355536\/\" data-ico=\"hyperlink-article\">\u00a0Democratic Senator Elizabeth Warren<\/a>\u00a0calling it \u2018an anti-monopoly nightmare.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>She added: \u2018A Netflix-Warner Bros would create one massive media giant with control of close to half of the streaming market \u2013 threatening to force Americans into higher subscription prices and fewer choices over what and how they watch, while putting American workers at risk.\u2019<\/p>\n<p><a
