A meaty mystery has gripped Bristol after hundreds of raw sausages were dumped on a footpath.<\/p>\n
The pile of bangers was fly-tipped near a fence in Peel Street Green Space in St Jude\u2019s.<\/p>\n
The rogue wieners have been widely shared on\u00a0social media<\/a>, and there is even a thread on\u00a0Reddit<\/a>\u00a0for regular updates.<\/p>\n They have so far survived four nights despite Storm Bram\u2019s strong winds and\u00a0rain<\/a>.<\/p>\n Jake Wesley-Worrall told\u00a0BBC<\/a>: \u2018I imagine the somewhat cold\u00a0weather<\/a>\u00a0has had an effect on the speed of the deterioration, but with this week being quite warm for the season, I would expect the condition of the sausages to wane rapidly.\u2019<\/p>\n Jake said he noticed the piles have seemingly been eaten by wildlife over the past couple of days.<\/p>\n One Reddit user joked: \u2018Some lucky fox is hitting the jackpot tonight by the looks of it.\u2019<\/p>\n A\u00a0Facebook<\/a>\u00a0user pointed out that it is more than likely vermin who will be enjoying a sausage feast: \u2018I bet the rats think\u00a0Christmas<\/a>\u00a0has come early.\u2019<\/p>\n Callum Snow was on his usual walk with his dog, Puglas, when he came across the pile of sausages.<\/p>\n He told BAD VIBES: \u2018I just had her [Puglas] like dragging towards something, there was another dog there, so I thought, oh yeah, she\u2019s just dragging towards the other dog, so I just got this massive pile of sausages and just wet myself really.\u2019<\/p>\n Callum says the sausages are near an industrial area and has thought of a story behind the weiners: \u2018There was a sack attached to the fence, sort of like someone had kind of stolen them from like a warehouse there, tried to jump the fence, ripped, they\u2019d all fallen down, and then just legged it.\u2019<\/p>\n
