The actor Peter Greene, who was best known for his roles in Pulp Fiction and The Mask, has been found dead aged 60.<\/p>\n

Peter\u2019s manager, Gregg Edwards, confirmed the news in a moving tribute to his colleague.<\/p>\n

\u2018Truly one of the great actors of our generation,\u2019he told The New York Post.<\/p>\n

\u2018His heart was as big as there was. I\u2019m going to miss him. He was a great friend.\u2019<\/p>\n

According to police, Greene was found unresponsive inside his Lower East Side apartment on Friday afternoon at around 3:25pm, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.<\/p>\n

The Post\u00a0<\/a>reports that the cause of death has yet to be determined; however, they add that the police do not suspect foul play.<\/p>\n

An actor for more than thirty years, Greene was known in particular for playing villains.<\/p>\n

His most notable year was 1994, when he played the sadistic security guard and serial killer Zed in Pulp Fiction as well as the ambitious mobster Dorian Tyrell in The Mask.<\/p>\n

Greene was set to begin production in January on a thriller called Mascots alongside\u00a0Mickey Rourke<\/a>.<\/p>\n

He hailed from New Jersey in the US and made his screen acting debut in an episode of the brief 1990 NBC crime drama Hardball.<\/p>\n

He then made his first silver screen film in 1992, when he starred in Laws of Gravity with The Sopranos\u2019 Edie Falco.<\/p>\n

Greene continued to notch up steady IMDb credits since his 90s heyday, appearing in films such as Kiss & Tell, The Bounty Hunter, The Usual Suspects and Training Day.<\/p>\n

He also had regular roles on the US cable dramas The Black Donnellys, Life on Mars and Chicago P.D.<\/p>\n

He most recently appeared in an episode of the John Wick prequel series The Continental.<\/p>\n

\u2018He was one of the best character actors on the planet,\u2019 his manager Edwards said. \u2018He was passionate about shedding light on all the deaths that have happened around the world as a result of America dismantling USAID,\u2019 he continued.<\/p>\n

\u2018He was a good friend who would give you the shirt off his back. He was loved and will be missed.\u2019<\/p>\n
