Nicki Minaj<\/a>\u00a0made an unfortunate comment in front of\u00a0Charlie Kirk\u2019s<\/a>\u00a0wife,\u00a0Erika<\/a>, after she praised Vice President\u00a0JD Vance<\/a>\u00a0as an \u2018assassin.\u2019<\/p>\n

American Conservative influencer Charlie was\u00a0shot dead<\/a>\u00a0in front of a crowd of 3,000 students at Utah Valley University in September.<\/p>\n

Tyler Robinson<\/a>, 22, is currently on trial,\u00a0accused of carrying out the attack<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Charlie is survived by\u00a0his wife Erika, 37<\/a>, as well as their two children, whom they keep away from the spotlight.<\/p>\n

The Turning Point USA CEO was in attendance at AmFest on Sunday, speaking to rapper Minaj, real name Onika Tanya Maraj-Petty.<\/p>\n

She asked the Anaconda hitmaker, 43, what her message would be to young men in the audience, taking the opportunity to make a dig at California Governor GavinNewsom, telling them not to be like \u2018New-scum.\u2019<\/p>\n

\u2018Young men, you have amazing role models like our handsome, dashing president,\u2019 she continued.<\/p>\n

Minaj paused after realising what she had said, but Erika was quick to assure the artist there was \u2018nothing new under the sun\u2019 that had been said to her.<\/p>\n

\u2018Trust me, there is nothing new under the sun that I have not heard. So you\u2019re fine\u2026 You let it roll right off your back,\u2019 Erika said.<\/p>\n

Charlie previously criticised Nicki as well as fellow rapper\u00a0Cardi B<\/a>\u00a0at a Turning Point USA event, labelling her \u2018not a good role model.\u2019<\/p>\n

\u2018Okay, Nicki Minaj is causing dads to leave the home?\u2019 he began. \u2018I don\u2019t think that\u2019s a good role model for 18-year-old black girls. I don\u2019t.<\/p>\n

He then went on to confuse her with WAP rapper Cardi, continuing: \u2018I don\u2019t think that songs that are talking about glorifying wet female genitalia are exactly\u2026I don\u2019t know which one wrote that song.\u2019<\/p>\n

Minaj has faced considerable backlash for her support for President\u00a0Donald Trump<\/a>\u00a0in recent months, despite previously being critical of his views and policies.<\/p>\n

This intensified last month when she\u00a0accepted a role working with the Trump administration<\/a>\u00a0to \u2018spotlight\u2019 the alleged persecution of Christians in Nigeria.<\/p>\n

US<\/a>\u00a0ambassador to the\u00a0United Nations<\/a>, Mike Waltz, wrote on X of the position: \u2018[Minaj] is not only arguably the greatest female recording artist, but also a principled individual who refuses to remain silent in the face of injustice.<\/p>\n

\u2018I\u2019m grateful she\u2019s leveraging her massive platform to spotlight the atrocities against Christians in Nigeria, and I look forward to standing with her as we discuss the steps the President and his administration are taking to end the persecution of our Christian brothers and sisters.\u2019<\/p>\n
