A new year is coming and with it a new type of\u00a0ready meal\u00a0<\/a>\u2013 one specifically made for those taking weight loss jabs.<\/p>\n Yes, 2025 has certainly been the year people went wild for Wegovy, Ozempic and\u00a0Mounjaro<\/a>, so much so that\u00a0food products<\/a>\u00a0are now being created to work alongside the injectables.<\/p>\n It\u2019s no secret that the drugs \u2013 often called GLP-1 agonists \u2013 reduce people\u2019s appetites, so they feel less hungry throughout the day and increase feelings of fullness, so people eat less when they do tuck into a dish.<\/p>\n With around two million people in the UK thought to be using\u00a0GLP-1s,<\/a>\u00a0Morrisons<\/a>\u00a0is now getting ahead of the curve and has unveiled a new range of food products specifically designed to target those using\u00a0weight loss medications.\u00a0<\/a><\/p>\n The supermarket is set to launch a selection of 53 Applied Nutrition items on shelves in January, and seven of these products will be known as \u2018Small & Balanced\u2019 meals.<\/p>\n These meals have all been \u2018created to deliver a nutrient-dense and controlled portion tailored to the needs of customers embarking on a weight-loss journey with medications such as Ozempic, Wegovy or Mounjaro\u2019.<\/p>\n The Small & Balanced range will feature several classic meals, including spaghetti and meatballs, cottage pie, sweet chilli prawn noodles and chicken casserole.<\/p>\n Prices will start from \u00a33.75, and each ready meal is available as a single-serve tray and comes in microwave-friendly packaging.<\/p>\n The wider nutrition range also features pizzas, protein pasta, protein ice cream, cheeses and to-go items like chicken fajita wraps and salads.<\/p>\n Speaking about the new items, Lizzy Massey, own brand director at Morrisons, said:\u00a0<\/strong>\u2018With more customers taking steps to improve their\u00a0health<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0wellness<\/a>, it feels like a natural step forward to welcome Applied Nutrition\u2019s exclusive collaboration with us to Morrisons aisles.<\/p>\n \u2018The new range has been carefully designed with their expert team to help supplement customers\u2019 nutrition while on their fitness and weight loss journeys, and we\u2019re delighted to welcome the broad range to Morrisons, offering our shoppers even more choice, at great value.\u2019<\/p>\n The Applied Nutrition range will be exclusive to Morrisons, and custom<\/p>\n <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" A new year is coming and with it a new type of\u00a0ready meal\u00a0\u2013 one specifically made for those taking weight loss jabs.
