With\u00a0Glastonbury Festival<\/a>\u00a0taking a break in 2026, there\u2019s never been more competition to grab tickets for other festivals which have already announced world-class lineups for next year.<\/p>\n

This year The Cure,\u00a0Florence & the Machine<\/a>, Gorillaz,\u00a0Lewis Capaldi<\/a>, Teddy Swims,\u00a0Foo Fighters<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Nick Cave<\/a>\u00a0& The Bad Seeds seem to be doing the festival circuit, with\u00a0Lily Allen\u00a0<\/a>giving a UK exclusive to one lucky London festival.<\/p>\n

Festivals are more popular than ever, with\u00a0Duran Duran\u2019s John Taylor\u00a0<\/a>telling\u00a0Metro\u00a0<\/strong>he\u2019s \u2018never seen an appetite for live music in the UK like these last few years.\u2019<\/p>\n

But with more appetite comes more choice, so whether you\u2019re hoping to return to your indie youth, party to\u00a0Charli XCX<\/a>\u00a0or discover some new artists, there\u2019s something out there for you.<\/p>\n

Whether you\u2019re looking for a UK staycation or a sun-soaked European break in Spain with your favourite artists, here\u2019s Metro\u2019s picks for the best festivals in 2026.<\/p>\n

Victorious<\/h2>\n

Victorious has just made its first lineup announcement for 2026, and it\u2019s looking like another epic weekend.<\/p>\n

Fresh of a stint supporting his pals in Oasis, Richard Ashcroft will headline on the Friday night, followed by The Black Keys on the Saturday and Kasabian on the Sunday.<\/p>\n

Each day has an afternoon special guest, with those spots being filled by artists who are sure to get you moving: Rudimental, Dizzee Rascal, and Sigrid.<\/p>\n

The rest of the lineup is as eclectic as you\u2019d expect too, with Scissors Sisters, The Vaccines and Vengaboys alongside The Lottery Winners, Kate Nash and Jessie J.<\/p>\n

Victorious Festival runs from Friday, August 28 to Sunday, August 30. Tickets are\u00a0on sale here<\/a>\u00a0with day passes from \u00a376 and weekend tickets from \u00a3194.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Mighty Hoopla<\/h2>\n

Even if the Mighty Hoopla lineup is pants (not the case!) the vibes elevate this festival to contend with some of the best in the country.<\/p>\n

Held in\u00a0London<\/a>\u2019s Brockwell Park on May 30 and 31, next year the one and only\u00a0queen of 2025 Lily Allen<\/a>\u00a0will be performing her\u00a0new tell-all album West End Girl,\u00a0<\/a>in a UK festival exclusive.<\/p>\n

If that\u2019s not enough of a reason to bag a Saturday ticket, old school boyband JLS will also be supporting, alongside\u00a0Jessie J<\/a>, Horse Meat Disco and\u00a0Todrick Hall<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, the\u00a0Scissor Sisters<\/a>\u00a0\u2013 who caused quite a stir at Glastonbury in June as hordes of millennials rushed to see their set \u2013 will be headlining the Sunday evening, with\u00a0Perrie<\/a>, Five,\u00a0Alexandra Burke<\/a>, and Trixie Mattel also performing.<\/p>\n

While Saturday is sold out \u2013 likely caused by the popularity of West End Girl \u2013 there are still\u00a0tickets available for Sunday here<\/a>. Prices start at \u00a369.50<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

Primavera bagged itself a ridiculous lineup for 2025, with the hottest pop trio in the world descending on\u00a0Barcelona<\/a>\u00a0in\u00a0Chappell Roan<\/a>,\u00a0Sabrina Carpenter<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Charli XCX.<\/a><\/p>\n

Next year, the lineup caters to a more varied musical palate, with\u00a0Wet Leg\u00a0<\/a>opening the weekend on June 3, followed by\u00a0Doja Cat<\/a>, Massive Attack, Bad Gyal, Mac DeMarco, Father John Misty, Overmondo and others kicking off Thursday with a bang.<\/p>\n

On Friday, June 5, The Cure are headlining, with\u00a0Addison Rae<\/a>\u00a0representing the pop girlies, Skrillex on another stage, with PinkPantheress,\u00a0JADE<\/a>\u00a0and Rilo Kiley also entertaining crowds.<\/p>\n

On June 6, The xx, Gorillaz, My Bloody Valentine, Peggy Gou, Little Simz, Big Thief, Dijon and\u00a0Kneecap\u00a0<\/a>are all on the bill to see out the weekend.<\/p>\n

Primavera Sound Barcelona<\/a>\u00a0runs from Wednesday, June 3 to Sunday, June 7. Tickets range from \u20ac135 (\u00a3118) to \u20ac350 (\u00a3306).<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

Reading and Leeds<\/h2>\n

A far cry from their jazz roots, twin festivals Reading and Leeds have evolved their lineup for a more dance-forward sound next year.<\/p>\n

There\u2019s not a single indie guitar band headlining in 2026, with the four day event announcing Charli XCX, Chase & Status, Dave,\u00a0Florence<\/a>\u00a0and the Machine, Fontaines D.C. and\u00a0Raye<\/a>\u00a0so far.<\/p>\n

Elsewhere on the lineup you\u2019ll find pop queen Jade, rising star Sombr, breakout band Geese, and the unforgettable\u00a0Skepta<\/a>.<\/p>\n

There\u2019s plenty more to be announced with a tantilising censored name already displayed on the poster, we can\u2019t wait to see what orgnaisers have in store.<\/p>\n

Reading and Leeds Festivals<\/a>\u00a0run from Thursday, August 27 to Sunday, August 30,<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0with tickets from \u00a3125 to \u00a3361.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Lewis Capaldi, Calvin Harris, The Cure \u2013 who appear to be busy next summer \u2013 Teddy Swims, The Kooks, Tom Grennan, Wet Leg, Sex Pistols, The Last Dinner Party, Rick Astley, Five, Feeder, Shed Seven, Anastacia and even KT Tunstall \u2013 and breathe \u2013 are all heading to the Isle of Wight Festival in 2026.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s quite the stacked lineup from top to bottom, with name after name from the 90s, 00s and 2010s jumping out as exciting slots to look forward to on June 18 to 21.<\/p>\n

Plus, there\u2019s even more to be announced.<\/p>\n

Isle of Wight Festival has often been in Glastonbury\u2019s shadow, maybe next year will be their time to shine.<\/p>\n

In recent years, BST Hyde Park\u2019s lineups have given Glastonbury a run for their money, bagging the likes of Sabrina Carpenter and Bruce Springsteen for the London summer weekends.<\/p>\n

If you\u2019re not feeling that whole camping in a field vibe next year, BST\u2019s Hyde Park day festival offering is pretty impressive.<\/p>\n

Organisers have so far revealed headliners Mumford and Sons, Garth Brooks, Maroon 5, Lewis Capaldi, and Pitbull, with full artist lineups still to come.<\/p>\n

Why wouldn\u2019t you want to spend an afternoon wearing a suit and a bald cap in Hyde Park listening to Mr Worldwide sing his biggest hits?<\/p>\n

If you\u2019re looking for something a little different next year, Open\u2019er Festival held at the Gdynia-Kosakowo Airport in Poland could be the answer.<\/p>\n

Founded 20 years ago, it\u2019s gained a reputation big names and diverse genres \u2013 and 2026 is no different with electronic rockers The XX, DJ Calvin Harris, US star Teddy Swims and legendary band The Cure.<\/p>\n

The four day festival is yet to reveal all their performers but former Little Mix star Jade is set to headline the Tent Stage on the Saturday.<\/p>\n

Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds, Clipse, Halsey, Renee Rapp, Zara Larsson and icon David Bryne have all been announced so far \u2013 we weren\u2019t kidding when we said it was diverse.<\/p>\n

Open\u2019er Festival<\/a>\u00a0runs from Wednesday, July 1 to Saturday, July 4, with tickets costing from 549z\u0142 (\u00a3113) to 1419z\u0142 (\u00a3293).<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

Mad Cool<\/h2>\n

Mad Cool has a brilliant track record of drafting in the best of indie rock artists, and 2026\u2019s lineup looks no different.<\/p>\n

Headlining on Wednesday, July 8 is Foo Fighters, Moby, The War on Drugs, and Wolf Alice, with The Last Dinner Party, Hot Milk and Jehnny Beth also performing.<\/p>\n

Lighting up the Madrid venue on Friday, July 9 will be Florence & The Machine,\u00a0Lorde<\/a>, Teddy Swims,\u00a0Renee Rapp<\/a>, CMAT, and others, while Twenty One Pilots, Kings of Leon, Pixies, and Hasley are headlining the Friday evening.<\/p>\n

Wrapping up the festival is Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, Pulp, The Black Crowes, David Syrne, The Vaccines, and a casual mention of Kasabian on the second line\u2026<\/p>\n

Boomtown is all about the vibes, with colour, visuals and fun at the heart of the festival\u2019s ethos.<\/p>\n

Of course, it doesn\u2019t hurt when there\u2019s a decent lineup \u2013 and 2026 is providing just that.<\/p>\n
