Made In Chelsea<\/a>\u00a0star Louise Thompson shared with followers the \u2018urgent\u2019 reason for spending\u00a0Christmas<\/a>\u00a0Eve in the hospital.<\/p>\n

The 35-year-old reality star has been open about her health with her followers and last year revealed she had undergone a colostomy due to her ulcerative colitis, resulting in wearing a stoma bag.<\/p>\n

In 2021, Louise almost died after giving birth to her son Leo after an emergency caesarean section and suffered from PTSD and postpartum\u00a0depression<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The media personality regularly attends hospital check-ups, but her most recent appointment, where she ended up receiving a proctoscopy (an anal and rectum exam) ended up falling on December 24 \u2013 the \u2018maginitude\u2019 of which only hit her in the moment.<\/p>\n

Uploading an image of her in a hospital gown, Louise wrote to her followers: \u2018Looks dramatic but it wasn\u2019t. I had a proctoscopy today. It\u2019s like a colonoscopy but not as invasive as I don\u2019t have a colon so there isn\u2019t very far the camera can go.<\/p>\n

\u2018Still bloody awkward and a tiny bit uncomfortable but fentanyl is a wonder drug.\u2019<\/p>\n

In a follow-up post, she added: \u2018These appointments are so important and they managed to fit me in quite urgently so I jumped at the offering of a 24th December date, then when it came around I realised the magnitude of it being Christmas Eve.<\/p>\n

\u2018Despite all the chaos of what I\u2019ve been through, I still think we are incredibly lucky to have the NHS, which NEVER clocks off in case of emergencies.\u2019<\/p>\n

Finally, she joked about having a \u2018nice little Christmas Eve camera up my bum\u2019 as she thanked the NHS for \u2018keeping our country ticking along and keeping our loved ones alive\u2019.<\/p>\n

Last year, Louise\u2019s fianc\u00e9 Ryan Libbey shared heartbreaking details of how difficult the months after Leo\u2019s birth truly were \u2013 leading to\u00a0Louise being put on \u2018suicide watch\u2019.<\/a><\/p>\n

\u2018Those first 10 months, when I say it was bad, I mean I don\u2019t think it could have been much worse at home in terms of the environment we had to just exist in,\u2019 Ryan told Josh Patterson on the\u00a0Exercising The Demons\u00a0<\/a>podcast.<\/p>\n

Explaining the mental toll the three surgeries took on his partner, he said: \u2018It just completely unhinged her as a person.<\/p>\n

\u2018So we had daily visits from care visitors but they were also on suicide watch because she was saying things like \u201cI just cannot get through this and I don\u2019t really want to\u201d.\u2019<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Louise has shared the challenges she has faced adjusting to life with a stoma bag.<\/p>\n

In April, she told her followers of the\u00a0\u2018horrendously debilitating\u2019 stoma leak\u00a0<\/a>she endured while on her way to a medical appointment in\u00a0London<\/a>.<\/p>\n

She was forced to \u2018hobble to the nearest hospital\u2019 and ended up spending an hour locked in loo \u2018covered in a mess\u2019, eventually \u2018bursting into tears\u2019 after the whole ordeal.<\/p>\n
