Each\u00a0New Year\u2019s Eve<\/a>,\u00a0fireworks<\/a>\u00a0light up the\u00a0London<\/a>\u00a0skyline, delighting thousands of revellers.<\/p>\n

In fact, the annual light show has become so popular that\u00a0tickets<\/a>\u00a0for the official viewing areas \u2013 priced at \u00a320 to as much as \u00a3125 each for 2025 \u2013 sell out months beforehand.<\/p>\n

While some tickets may still crop up on Ticketmaster\u2019s resale platform, folks who miss out often end up heading to spots where they can catch a glimpse for free.<\/p>\n

But this year, there\u2019s one less place to see the display, as\u00a0Primrose Hill will be closed<\/a>\u00a0due to security concerns amid police cost-cutting measures.<\/p>\n

The gates to the North London park\u00a0will be locked from 8pm on Tuesday until 6am on\u00a0New Year<\/a>\u2019s Day, with a tall temporary fence recently erected around the perimeter for the occasion.<\/p>\n

Although an estimated 30,000 people\u00a0gathered to celebrate<\/a>\u00a0at the unofficial Camden viewing point, following the disbanding of the\u00a0Royal Parks\u00a0police, authorities made the decision to shut in an effort to protect public safety.<\/p>\n
