Last night marked the 83rd Golden Globe Awards, celebrating film and American television and bringing together a who\u2019s who of superstars from around the world of entertainment.<\/strong><\/div>\n<\/header>\n

As is to be expected at such a scrutinized event, there were plenty of standout moments that quickly went viral online. One such moment featured iconic rap artist and producer Snoop Dogg, on hand to present the award for \u2018Best Podcast\u2019.<\/p>\n

Don\u2019t worry if you\u2019re not familiar with that even being a category, yesterday was the first time in the Golden Globes\u2019 history that they\u2019ve offered an award for best podcast. Exactly how it fits in where film and TV is concerned is anyone\u2019s guess, but I suppose its a reflection of just how many celebrities are choosing to break into the podcast game these days.<\/p>\n

In any case, it was actress and comedian Amy Poehler who took home the inaugural trophy for \u2018Best Podcast\u2019 for her podcast\u00a0The Good Hang.<\/em><\/p>\n

Yet it was arguably Snoop Dogg\u2019s speech before handing Poehler the distinction that received the most attention. Anyone watching the event will have noticed that a portion of his speech was bleeped out, leaving fans scratching their heads as to what he might have been saying.<\/p>\n

\u201cI need y\u2019all to loosen up a little bit. This is the double-G\u2019s, the double-G\u2019s, it\u2019s the Golden Globes, and you\u2019re with the D-O-double-G,\u201d the singer, 54, began.<\/p>\n

\u201cSo, make sure you enjoy yourself, don\u2019t be no stiff biff! Move around a little bit!\u201d<\/p>\n

Snoop even took aim at the new category of \u2018Best Podcast\u2019, saying: \u201cBest Podcast is a very important category for me, because, before podcasts, I was what y\u2019all would listen to driving around in your cars. To you podcasters, you better hope I don\u2019t get in that game.<\/p>\n

\u201cShout-out to the Golden Globes for putting the podcast category in this awards show. And shout-out to all of the podcasters. You all are winners, but the real winner is\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n

The\u00a0Next Episode<\/em>\u00a0rapper then appeared to briefly cut out before handing Poehler the award. It turned out broadcasters had bleeped out a segment of the 54-year-old\u2019s speech for audiences watching from home.<\/p>\n

As\u00a0per<\/a>\u00a0Entertainment Weekly, Snoop\u2019s bleeped out quip had to do with him being high.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m high as a motherf**ker right now,\u201d he told the celebrities in attendance. \u201cY\u2019all had me here too damn long.\u201d<\/p>\n
