Well, it was only a matter of time really until this happened.<\/p>\n

SpaceX owner and founder, Elon Musk, has declared he\u2019s not human \u2013 but in fact, he\u2019s an alien.<\/p>\n

Nope, really.<\/p>\n

Musk took to the stage at the\u00a0World Economic Forum<\/a>\u00a0in Davos to discuss tariffs, the future of autonomous driving and the threat of robots or AI surpassing humans.<\/p>\n

However, in the process, he managed to make\u00a0an awkward joke about Greenland<\/a>\u00a0in what appeared to be a dig at\u00a0US<\/a>\u00a0President\u00a0Donald Trump<\/a>\u2019s controversial Board of Peace.<\/p>\n

And declared that he is, in fact, an alien.<\/p>\n

The Tesla CEO shared the stage with Larry Fink, CEO of BlackRock, an American investment company, and briefly covered the topic of extraterrestrial life.<\/p>\n

During his speech, Musk said to the crowd: \u2018I\u2019m often asked: Are there aliens among us? And I\u2019ll say that I am one.\u2019<\/p>\n

Fink asked: \u2018You\u2019re from the future?<\/p>\n

\u2018They don\u2019t believe me,\u2019 Musk replied.<\/p>\n

\u2018I think if anyone would know if there were aliens among us, it would be me.\u2019<\/p>\n

Musk added that if alien life did exist, he is sure his more than 9,000 Starlink satellites he launched into space under his company, SpaceX, would be capable of detecting UFOs and other alien activity.<\/p>\n

He said: \u2018We have 9,000 satellites up there, and not once have we had to manoeuvre around an\u00a0alien<\/a>\u00a0spaceship.\u2019<\/p>\n

\u2018Bottom line is we need to assume that life and consciousness are extremely rare, and it might only be us.<\/p>\n

\u2018If that\u2019s the case, we need to do everything possible to ensure that the light of consciousness is not extinguished.\u2019<\/p>\n

Not everyone has welcomed Musk\u2019s appearance at the World Economic Forum.<\/p>\n

British political campaign group named Everyone Hates Elon voiced its opposition to Musk, calling for the world\u2019s wealthiest people to pay tax.<\/p>\n

The group unfurled\u00a0a 400 square metre banner on a field<\/a>\u00a0directly below the flightpath taken by helicopters on their way to Davos.<\/p>\n
