A teenager has been charged with manslaughter\u00a0after a woman died following an assault outside a bar in Tyneside.<\/p>\n

Lisa Denton, 40, sustained serious injuries in a suspected assault\u00a0at Charlie\u2019s Bar in North Shields, just after 10pm on Saturday.<\/p>\n

Her sister, Gillian, said on Facebook yesterday that Lisa had been \u2018punched in the face\u2019 and was now \u2018fighting for her life\u2019 in intensive care.<\/p>\n

Gillian\u2019s fianc\u00e9, Dean, has since confirmed that Lisa died a short time later.<\/p>\n

He added: \u2018She was deeply loved, and her loss has left a hole in our hearts that cannot be put into words.<\/p>\n

Liam Moor, 19, of Telford Street in the East Howdon area, was charged today and will appear in court tomorrow.<\/p>\n
