More batches of\u00a0baby<\/a>\u00a0formula in the UK have been urgently recalled over fears they have poisoned children.<\/p>\n Danone has recalled several batches of Aptamil and Cow & Gate because of the suspected presence of toxins.<\/p>\n Various batches of Nestle\u2019s SMA Infant Formula and Follow-On Formula products have also\u00a0been taken off the shelves following previous recalls<\/a>.<\/p>\n It comes after dozens of children developed symptoms consistent with cereulide toxin poisoning, the UK\u00a0Health<\/a>\u00a0Security Agency has said.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n The specific products recalled include:<\/p>\n According to the UKHSA, there have been 36 clinical reports of children suffering symptoms linked to the move.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n They include 24 notifications in\u00a0England<\/a>, seven in\u00a0Scotland<\/a>, three in\u00a0Wales<\/a>, one in\u00a0Northern Ireland<\/a>, and one in the Crown Dependencies.<\/p>\n Speaking about the Aptamil recall, FSA head of incidents Darren Whitby said: \u2018If you have fed this product to a baby and have any concerns about potential health impact, you should seek advice from healthcare professionals by contacting your GP or by calling NHS111.<\/p>\n \u2018Danone has recalled this product because cereulide, a toxin produced by a pathogen, Bacillus cereus, has been found in the batch.<\/p>\n \u2018Only one batch of the Aptamil First Instant Formula has been distributed to the UK.
