Maxwell<\/a>\u00a0inside her prison cell has emerged in the latest batch of Epstein files.<\/p>\n<p>The disgraced socialite, 64, came to be known as paedophile\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/tag\/jeffrey-epstein\/\" data-ico=\"hyperlink-article\">Jeffrey Epstein\u2019s<\/a>\u00a0girlfriend before the financier\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/2025\/07\/10\/jeffrey-epsteins-final-text-message-hours-suicide-revealed-author-23628599\/\" data-ico=\"hyperlink-article\">died in his prison cell in 2019<\/a>\u00a0in an apparent suicide while awaiting trial for child sex\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/tag\/crime-news\/\" data-ico=\"hyperlink-article\" data-track=\"inline-tag-auto-link_article\">crime<\/a>\u00a0charges.<\/p>\n<p>Maxwell, who maintained a friendship with celebrities and royalty like former\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/tag\/andrew-mountbatten-windsor\/\" data-ico=\"hyperlink-article\">Prince Andrew<\/a>, became a familiar sight next to Epstein after she moved to\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/tag\/new-york\/\" data-ico=\"hyperlink-article\" data-track=\"inline-tag-auto-link_article\">New York<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Several Epstein accusers alleged that Maxwell was involved in procuring underage girls for the financier, and in 2022, she was jailed for 20 years for sex trafficking, marking the ultimate fall from grace for the socialite.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div US Department of Justice, captures 10 hours of surveillance video inside the tiny cell.<\/p>\n<p>In one clip, Maxwell, dressed in an orange tracksuit typical for US prisons and a pair of trainers, can be seen pottering around the cell.<\/p>\n<p>She appears to fill a cup of water from the tap before folding away some clothes to use as a makeshift pillow.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<figure
