The\u00a0White House<\/a>\u00a0has deleted a video posted by\u00a0Donald Trump<\/a>\u00a0of\u00a0Barack\u00a0<\/a>and\u00a0Michelle Obama<\/a>\u00a0as apes, which critics described as racist.<\/p>\n

The\u00a0US<\/a>\u00a0President posted some 66 times on Truth Social in less than two hours last night, including a video about rigged voting machines.<\/p>\n

The minute-long clip ended with a two-second shot of the Obamas as apes, dancing in a jungle setting to The Lion Sleeps Tonight, which is thought to have been AI generated.<\/p>\n

A White House official said a member of staff \u2018erroneously made the post\u2019 and it has now been taken down.<\/p>\n

X<\/a>\u00a0user Xerias claimed credit for the Obama video, which the account shared on\u00a0social media<\/a>\u00a0in October.<\/p>\n

It mocked many of Trump\u2019s now-familiar string of rivals, including\u00a0Joe Biden<\/a>, Kamala Harris and New York City mayor,\u00a0Zohran Mamdani<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Trump, meanwhile, was depicted as a lion lying on a hammock.<\/p>\n

Xerias previously claimed that it made the\u00a0\u2018fighter jet poop\u2019 AI video posted by Trump<\/a>\u00a0during the No Kings protests.<\/p>\n

White House spokesperson Karoline Leavitt confirmed to\u00a0Metro<\/strong>\u00a0that the clip in Trump\u2019s video yesterday was the one posted by Xerias.<\/p>\n

She added: \u2018This is from an internet meme video depicting President Trump as the King of the Jungle and Democrats as characters from The Lion King.<\/p>\n

\u2018Please stop the fake outrage and report on something today that actually matters to the American public.\u2019<\/p>\n

The video Trump shared last night features a watermark for PatriotNewsOutlet.com, a largely empty news website when viewed.<\/p>\n

PatriotNewsOutlet.com have been approached for comment.<\/p>\n

The post was condemned by Trump\u2019s critics, with\u00a0California<\/a>\u00a0Governor\u00a0Gavin Newsom<\/a>\u2019s press office X account calling it \u2018disgusting\u2019.<\/p>\n

It added: \u2018Every single Republican must denounce this. Now.\u2019<\/p>\n

Political commentator Harry Sisson called the digitally edited video \u2018incredibly racist\u2019.<\/p>\n

A user on X added: \u2018This is what we are now. This is what the highest office in the land is posting.\u2019<\/p>\n

Another said: \u2018There\u2019s absolutely no way that any black Trump supporters can defend this. How do you defend a white man posting images of Black people as monkeys.\u2019<\/p>\n

This isn\u2019t the first time that Trump has posted about the former president \u2013 he uploaded an\u00a0AI-generated video of Obama being arrested in July<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The phoney video shows Obama on his knees while being handcuffed by the FBI at the Oval Office.<\/p>\n

Amid criticism for his handling of the Jeffrey Epstein files in July, Trump accused Obama of \u2018treason\u2019.<\/p>\n

The Republican pledged to use the Justice Department to go after the former Democratic president.<\/p>\n
