\u2018Trump promised us law and order, then went to pardon a bunch of rich scammers and paedophiles. It\u2019s all just so exhausting at this point,\u2019 Adam*, a 25-year-old Trump voter, told\u00a0Metro.<\/strong><\/p>\n

It\u2019s less than a year into\u00a0Donald Trump<\/a>\u2019s second presidency, but frustrations among even his most loyal voters and politicians are increasing daily.<\/p>\n

The catalyst seems to be the\u00a0Jeffrey Epstein files<\/a>\u00a0\u2013 an issue which Trump campaigned on, promising to release them in full, before flipping and calling the matter \u2018pretty boring stuff\u2019 in July.<\/p>\n

But after an unprecedented petition, which led to a\u00a0bill being passed in both the House<\/a>\u00a0and Congress, Trump signed the bill into law.<\/p>\n

The Epstein issue has prompted a newer, wider outpouring of frustration with the President\u2019s policies.<\/p>\n

A lack of transparency<\/h2>\n

Days after entering the Oval Office for a second time, Trump signed an executive order to declassify records around political assassinations.<\/p>\n

\u2018I do know that we\u2019ve done the RFK, the Kennedy, Martin Luther King is out there very shortly, so we\u2019ll find out,\u2019 Trump said at the time. We\u2019ve really announced we\u2019re doing them in full transparency.\u2019<\/p>\n

But broken promises about transparency have become a point of contention for even his most loyal voters.<\/p>\n

Adam* told us\u00a0<\/strong>that the lack of transparency from the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Department of Justice has been disappointing.<\/p>\n

\u2018We were promised transparency, all while the FBI and DOJ have lied continuously about the Trump assassination attempt, and the Epstein and Kirk investigations,\u2019 he explained.<\/p>\n

\u2018Trump says he\u2019s a president of peace, then turned around and simultaneously funded the destruction of\u00a0Gaza<\/a>\u00a0and is still funding\u00a0Ukraine<\/a>.\u2019<\/p>\n

Former allies labelled as \u2018traitors\u2019<\/h2>\n

It\u2019s not just formerly loyal Trump voters turning against the\u00a0US<\/a>\u00a0President \u2013 Republican lawmakers, many of whom are staunch MAGA supporters and Trump\u2019s fiercest defenders, have also soured.<\/p>\n

Marjorie Taylor Greene, Nancy Mace and Ted Cruz are three Republicans who have taken a stance against the leader.<\/p>\n

Mace and Greene joined every Democrat to sign a petition which pushed the Epstein files bill through to get approved.<\/p>\n

For Mace, the pivot on the matter came shortly after she defended Trump on X, claiming he \u2018banned Jeffrey Epstein from Mar-a-Lago\u2019, \u2018cooperated with the feds\u2019 and was \u2018committed to protecting women and kids\u2019.<\/p>\n

This week, after voting for the Epstein files to be released in full, despite facing pressure from the Trump administration not to sign the petition, Mace changed her tune: \u2018I stand with all survivors.\u2019<\/p>\n

Greene has been more candid about her frustration with the Trump administration. After expressing support for Epstein\u2019s survivors and pushing for the full release of the files, she went on X and said she had been facing death threats for it.<\/p>\n

\u2018Aggressive rhetoric attacking me has historically led to death threats and multiple convictions of men who were radicalised by the same type of rhetoric being directed at me right now,\u2019 she wrote.<\/p>\n

\u2018This time by the President of the United States. As a woman, I take threats from men seriously. I now have a small understanding of the fear and pressure the women, who are victims of Jeffrey Epstein and his cabal, must feel.\u2019<\/p>\n

When confronted about Greene\u2019s statement on X, Trump told reporters: \u2018Marjorie \u2018Traitor\u2019 Greene. I don\u2019t think her life is in danger. I don\u2019t think. Frankly, I don\u2019t think anybody cares about her.\u2019<\/p>\n

Greene stood firm, telling reporters later: \u2018Let me tell you what a traitor is. A traitor is an American who serves foreign countries and themselves.<\/p>\n

\u2018A patriot is an American who serves the United States of America, and Americans like the women standing behind me,\u2019 she said, referencing the survivors of Epstein\u2019s abuse, who were with her at the time.<\/p>\n

Slipping approval ratings on a variety of issues<\/h2>\n

Trump\u2019s approval rating fell to 38% as of Tuesday, attributed to his handling of the Epstein files debacle, according to a Reuters\/Ipsos survey.<\/p>\n

In September, the number of Trump voters who believed the USA\u00a0was not on the right track jumped from 17% to 22%.<\/a><\/p>\n

The Epstein drama,\u00a0Charlie Kirk<\/a>\u2019s murder, tariffs, and a press conference claiming paracetamol was linked to autism in children appear to have sown seeds of doubt in Trump\u2019s followers in recent months.<\/p>\n

Trump voter Adam added: \u2018A lot of the frustration lately also lies with the H1-B visa program, while 1st year grads are facing high unemployment rates.\u2019<\/p>\n

The\u00a0H1-B visa is a work visa for foreigners in America<\/a>, which has been another source of conflict in Washington.<\/p>\n

Trump has promised to cut back the number of workers allowed in on the visa and prioritise American workers, but recent comments on Fox News upset his party once again.<\/p>\n

When it was suggested that the H-1B visas could make it difficult for Americans to get higher wages by Fox News host Laura Ingraham, Trump resisted.<\/p>\n

\u2018I agree, but you also do have to bring in talent when a country \u2013 \u2018 Trump began.<\/p>\n

Ingraham said: \u2018Well, we have plenty of talented people here.\u2019<\/p>\n

Trump replied: \u2018No, you don\u2019t. No, you don\u2019t have certain talents, and people have to learn.\u2019<\/p>\n
