Bedfordshire<\/a>.<\/p>\nThe majority of attacks have taken place near an underpass by the school, with the latest incident happening on November 11.<\/p>\n
But police suspect the flasher has struck more times than this, given that they weren\u2019t reported.<\/p>\n
It is not clear if the suspected flasher has been targeting school pupils, police said.<\/p>\n
A spokesman said: \u2018Officers are appealing for witnesses after a series of indecent exposures in the Wentworth Drive area of Bedford.<\/p>\n
\u2018Most of these have been around the Mark Rutherford school, near the underpass, although some have been elsewhere in the vicinity.\u2019<\/p>\n
The spokesman added that the extra patrols have been issued in a bid to identify the man.<\/p>\n
Detective Sergeant Zoe Keepin described the series of incidents as \u2018inappropriate\u2019 and \u2018deeply distressing\u2019.<\/p>\n
She said: \u2018We are appealing for anyone who has seen anything suspicious or has any other information to get in touch, as this can help us identify him.<\/p>\n
\u2018This isn\u2019t just inappropriate, it\u2019s illegal. It can be deeply distressing and is often used to intimidate, harass, or groom.\u2019<\/p>\n
Keepin also advised anyone who may be a victim of indecent exposure to \u2018move to a safe place\u2019 and report it to the police.<\/p>\n
\u2018Reporting helps us identify individuals who may pose a risk to others and allows us to target areas where these behaviours are occurring,\u2019 she said.<\/p>\n
\u2018Incidents like this can cause significant public concern and can be deeply distressing to witnesses.<\/p>\n
\u2018If you see or experience an incident of indecent exposure, police advise that you: Move to a safe place. Avoid confrontation. Report it to police. Your report could prevent further harm and help protect others.\u2019<\/p>\n
