Barron Trump moved back into the White House earlier this fall after transferring to the DC Campus of Stern Business School, where he is a sophomore.
He has a powerful bond with his mother, Melania Trump, especially, who has been traveling back and forth to be with her son as he began his studies in New York.
Melania put all her time and effort into shielding Barron when he was a kid, and has continued to do so. However, as he has now turned 19, the youngest son of President Donald Trump is growing into a man and will make his own decisions.
Earlier this week, one podcaster suggested that Barron has turned his view to faith. While his life has always been different from many his age, not least because of his father’s career as a New York real estate mogul and then President of the United States, he has a late-night habit that many might find strange.
Pastor reveals late-night calls with Barron Trump
On December 4, therapist and pastor Stuart Knechtle appeared on the George Janko podcast, where he spoke about a conversation he had with Barron at 12:30 a.m.
“I was talking on the phone with Baron Trump at 12:30 at night one night, and I thought I was hitting him with everything but the kitchen sink when it came to all the evidence for God and Christianity,” Knechtle revealed, per CBN.
So what could be that important after midnight that Barron is speaking to a pastor? Well, it turns out the 19-year-old appears to be seriously considering embracing religion.
Knecthle explained that Barron wasn’t convinced until he discovered stories about missionary workers in Africa. They had seen “thousands of Muslims” convert to Christianity because of visions they had while sleeping, which made an impact on Barron.
“Oh, that’s a very, very interesting point, and you have eyewitness testimony,” the pastor recalled Barron saying. “He’s very close to putting his faith in Christ. Very close.”
“I thought I was hitting him with everything but the kitchen sink when it came to all the evidence for God and Christianity,” Knechtle revealed. “I thought I was really on, I was pumped.”
Melania Trump “furious”
While Barron Trump might soon be convinced of his Christian faith, Knechtle explained that the 19-year-old still has to ‘come around’ to the idea of Christianity; his mother, Melania, has other things on her mind in the discussion.
Knecthle’s conversation with Barron was a private call he outed on a podcast for the whole world to hear, talk, and read about, which made the First Lady of the United States furious.
According to gossip columnist Rob Shuter, who cited a White House insider, Melania has “always stressed discretion” for her son and family members.
“She believes her family’s private life is sacred. This? It’s a betrayal,” they told Shuter on Substack.
Another source said, “Melania exploded when she heard about it. This isn’t just disappointment — it’s fury.”
A third source added, “Melania’s circle is circulating reminders about confidentiality. Everyone who works with the family knows: leaks will not be tolerated. Barron’s moment might have been innocent, but the betrayal?
