The wedding that featured in Bad Bunny’s dance party Super Bowl halftime show was reportedly a legitimate ceremony in front of millions.
The happy couple, who viewers initially assumed were actors, were wed during Bad Bunny’s performance of his 2025 hit BAILE INoLVIDABLE.
The moment saw Bad Bunny – real name Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio – hold a ring box and pass it onto a backing dancer, who got down on one knee, before the cameras at the California stadium cut to a couple in white standing in front of an officiant.
They kissed, to applause from the group gathered behind them, who then parted to reveal Lady Gaga, one of a slew of special guests for the performance.
Bad Bunny’s representatives have since confirmed to The Hollywood Reporter that the wedding was legally binding, with the Puerto Rican singer serving as their witness and signing their marriage certificate.
The couple, who have not yet been named publicly, were woven into the show and were seen cutting their wedding cake on stage later.

NBC sports reporter Rohan Nadkarni shared his own reporting on the moment on X, in a tweet that has been viewed over 4million times, writing: ‘This is incredibly cool – a source familiar with Bad Bunny’s performance tonight tells me that the couple in the halftime show got married for real.
‘They invited Bad Bunny to their wedding and in turn he invited them to get married during his performance.’
The moment prompted plenty of reaction, with Kristen commenting underneath: ‘it’s kinda crazy everyone in the comments (myself included) could tell they were a real couple, good for them.’
‘That’s actually insane in the best way. Turning a halftime show into a real wedding is next-level wholesome…. imagine telling people that was your wedding venue,’ wrote Manu.
Referencing the performance’s rebuke to President Trump’s anti-immigration policy, Kimber added: ‘Was hoping it was real AND that someone got their citizenship as a result.’
Who else did Bad Bunny bring out on stage during his halftime show?
Lady Gaga appeared on stage to deliver a salsa-style reinterpretation of her 2024 hit Die With a Smile, but she was far from the only guest star on the field with Bad Bunny.
He also welcomed Ricky Martin, as well as celebrities including Karol G, Cardi B, Jessica Alba, and Pedro Pascal.
There was also Alix Earle, Dave Grutman, Ronald Acuña Jr. and Young Miko in a La Casita set piece, which saw them gather in a replica block party.

Bad Bunny’s performance was an historic one, as the first primarily Spanish-language show on the hugely coveted NFL stage, this year at Levi’s Stadium as the Seattle Seahawks saw off the New England Patriots.
The 31-year-old, who is fresh off the back of his Grammy win for album of the year, previously guest-starred in Shakira and Jennifer Lopez’s headlining performance in 2020.
He kicked off the show with an introduction in Spanish, in which he said: ‘My name is Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, and if I’m here today at Super Bowl 60 it’s because I never, ever stopped believing in myself and you should also believe in yourself, you’re worth more than you think.’
